I am Prof. Dr. Farid A. Sobhani, currently serving as the Vice-Chancellor of Eastern University, Bangladesh. Alongside this role, I serve as a Visiting Professor at SPU, South Africa, and ARI–Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia. I am honored to be a Board Member of Agile in Education (AiE) USA, President of the Bangladesh Society for Private University Academics (BSPUA), and Vice President of the Federation of Bangladesh Human Resource Organizations (FBHRO). My academic and professional journey spans over two decades in teaching, research, leadership, and international collaboration.
About Me
I am Prof. Dr. Farid A. Sobhani, a passionate educator, institutional leader, and researcher dedicated to promoting excellence in higher education and organizational development. Currently, I serve as the Vice-Chancellor of Eastern University, where I lead with a vision to nurture knowledge, build capacity, and contribute to nation-building.
My academic background includes a PhD from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), an MS from the University of Antwerp, and both MBA and BBA degrees from the University of Chittagong. I am also a certified Registered Scrum Master endorsed by Scrum Inc., USA.
In addition to my current role as Professor at the School of Business & Economics, United International University (UIU), I also serve as the Director of the Center for International Affairs and Cooperation at UIU. My work as a Visiting Professor in South Africa and Malaysia has further enriched my global academic perspective.
